To any who travel to Crescent City adjacent to Jedediah Smith redwood park, you may find this new redwood photo book at the new 2nd Street art gallery in the middle of town.

Short book, but plenty of unique content. Souvenir, but educational table book. It mixes documentary, exploring and art.

looks familiar Mario :big grin:

I was a lot happier than i look in the photo but this is the only one i could scrounge up:001_tongue:

Finding the grove was a definite highlight of the trip and it was sort of by accident.

One of the guys went of on a hour long wander alone and happened to stumble across it.

Any photo that refreshes the memory is a good photo.

At first I wondered if your visit predated the fallen log, then noticed it behind your shoulder, resting into the other trunks on the right.

Is that quite recent is it ? Yeah that photo was taken sitting on it. Good times , defiantly will be heading back in the next few years

The log hasn't been wedged there long. A few weeks ago I was determined to scoot up that log, stand on it and lean into the other redwood for a photo using a remote trigger.

But it was a bit steeper than I recalled so I skipped that idea.

That's a big Ol log mate , jack and I went up a fair way but decided if anything went wrong it would ruin our holiday in a very big and broken leg kinda way so we didn't go all the way up
