pto saw bench blade

I don't have our blades to hand so don't know the exact teeth/rake details. One blade though, which looks similar to ebay one, is prone to snagging and the others aren't due to angle of teeth - they have anti kickback feature also. They don't cut any slower than the more aggressive one but with a smoother action too.

 

Probability of snagging will also depend on what machine you have too and how restrained the timber is plus size of said timber.

what make is the bench? i got mine from arbor eater and the spare blade was quite reasonable

I changed the blade on my Palax Combi from over 100 teeth to about fifty something and yes it is more aggressive cutting through the Ash but quicker and easier as long as you hold the wood firmly.

You need to be especially careful when cutting small branches as it will snatch a length if not held tight and the sliver may jam the blade. However overall, now I am used to it I would not go back to a blade with more teeth, especially as it costs more to re-tip!
