You can keep your railway work, it sounds like the ahole of tree work:)

 

A lot better money ands less tidying up.. Has its downsides such as thorn but normally get good sites . Also I know what orders I have seeing me until this time next year... No f@@king about tidying lawns up and trimming conifer hedges... Everyman to there own...:thumbup1:

Lot of guys that work on the rails locally say it attracts the wrong people as it's not that well paid for a brash dragger. On the other hand there's a local rail firm that employ some local lads pay um well and there going from strength to strength. I would quite happily go work for those guys as it would be as good as you made it. But generally I would not touch it.

thanks . the thought of that makes me wince ouch ! nearly had a scaffold bracket thingy go through chipper once thankfully was spotted in time , it had been thrown down and landed in a conifer we were removing lucky that day ,:thumbup1:

well currently employ 4 crews on rails.. Pay all my lads well as would expect that myself. They are happy and I am happy as all making a good living. The amount of work about at the mon {in the north} is great with virgin taking east coast.. Next 5 years hopefully will be good as 5 year plan in place..Work it what you make it.. Done all the fountains ,glendales, til hill etc over the years for my sins.. Talk about bad pay!! try being a team leader for glen country in north east anyway
