Good morning chaps.

I wonder if any of you good folks would be kind enough to share a bit of advice.

I am very familiar with Arb risk-assessments, but I have been asked to do one for an up coming fencing and planting contract.

What regulations (other than those that I am already familiar with might I need to consider? (PPE for planting, Tickets for post knocker etc.).

- Or even better, does any body know where I might find a template.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

Cheers.

PPE, maybe stuff like high vis vest, whistle, mobile phone, waterproofs, safety boots.

hazard for fencing, hitting serices (electricity gas), slips, trips, driving on uneven ground (overturning), bad weather. I'd mention lone working as well.

some environmental guff always goes down well. maybe having dedicated area for refilling tractor, spill kit etc.

my background is construction. if I saw a fencer on a construction site I would expect steel toecaps.

it might be a bit more slack if you are fencing in the middle of nowhere. though I would still suggest a strainer post dropped on a foot would merit a trip to A & E.

Dog muck, fly tipped waste, syringe needles on some sites, blackthorn in particular as it can destroy an eye or digit if its thorns penetrate.

These maybe excessive but shows you have thought specific to the site..

If you send me your email I will email you the one I use when fencing for the Forestry commission if it's satisfactory for them then it should be fine for everyone
