I'm looking to get a 201 back handle and I'm trying to find out if the sprockets are the same as the 200.

I can find info on 1\4 sprockets for the 200 but nothing on the 201,

Anyone know whether they differ or do they share the same ?

Cheers,

Si

The most common sprocket for the MS200 is 6t 3/8th part code 1129 640 2000

Doesn't look good unless you have a big hammer:001_rolleyes::lol:

Not following you there spud, that part no. was for the 201 1/4" sprocket assembly (with worm gear)

The ms 200 one is 1129 640 2051 (with worm drive)

I guess as they have different part numbers they are not interchangeable, ah well will have to put that on to my shopping list :-)

It's hard to tell if they're the same part number, some parts are given several numbers to stop people using old stock. Without physically trying to fit the parts, I couldn't say if there is a difference.

Does anyone know if the standard 3\8 sprocket fits both saws?

As that's more common some of you guys may well have already tried them. Think I'll just phone a dealer up and see if he can compare them for any differences. I would have thought they'd be the same like you say just altering some of the part number might not mean there's any actual physical difference.

I would imagine that they would, only the first 4 digits differ, I also know the drum off an 009 fits the 200t
