Still fairly hard as in i cant making hole with my finger in it i think it will give a nice feature to the wood kind of like this but not as rotten this was also pear which I milled a few bits of freehand

Ive gone and set up a basic woodworking kit saw plane sander and a small selection of chisels I'm going to give this woodwork malarkey a shot and see what o can rescue from the firewood pile

So I know this is a bit of an open ended question but what value should a 12 inch piece that's 5foot long be i have a turner coming for some and I don't want to rob him but at the same time don't want to get shafted.

thanks thats about what i thought £25ish was where i was at a guess when i was looking online for prices i could only find it for sawn boards at arround £20 per cubic foot does this seem right for green timber kiln dried the only price i could find was almost £100 more than that maybe i should buy a kiln lol
