A mate of mine has converted his vertical splitter to foot operation, looks good and I might do the same to mine, any thoughts apart from the safety element?

A lot of power presses are foot operated but before the press bangs down the operator has to pull down a guard with a safety interlock . If you wanted it to be a complete pain in the arse but be sure you or anyone else kept their digits you could fit one . Personality I would not but hey ho .....
