Husqvarna 550 xp new buy

Been using my new 550 for the last three weeks, wasn't too impressed at first, but now the engine has run in it's become a very nice little saw. I know it's only early days, but I've not felt any inclination to reach for the 346 yet, and I bloody love that saw.

Taking off the spark arrestor did seem to free it up a bit (or it could have just been my imagination).

Sugi Hara light type bars are what Jon affectionately calls RobD bars. They are beautifully made and will outlast the Husqy bars by a looong way. Husqy make great saws but their bars are rubbish, IMO.

 

That said, I've just traded a Sugi bar for a pair of used autographed boxers, so they can't be that great!
