apologies for bringing up an old subject;

i am toying with using grp panel for the fixed sides on a chip body instead of alloy planking.

have spent a couple of evenings on tinternet but i am not much wiser.

has anyone experience with this material ?

where to buy, have used service metals for planking and see they stock it.

which version to use at what thickness?

maybe honeycomb version but is it strong enough?

panel size 2600 x 1200

I'm doing something similar and have been looking at 'Koski Decor' this is a birch ply with a hardplastic laminate veneer , apparently used in the haulage industry for commercial bodies. Timbmet stock it.

I built my mog box out of glassenite which is wagon body ply/laminated plastic and it's great but really heavy and I mean really heavy!! If it was just grp then it would be quite light surly??
