Vermeer skid steer

Im looking for a machine that is really versatile, that can be used on site if needed to move logs brash etc, in the yard move chip push bonfire pile up, move stillages of logs about maybe power a splitter. The only thing i have seen that i think can do that is a mini skid steer such as a vermeer? Have you used one/ own 1? what are they like to own/ operate. how much do they cost? any help is appreciated

Compact tractor and loader will knock a skid steer into a cocked hat.

only problem is getting the tractor to site. Skid steer can go on the trailer and then away.

I drive a transit so am limited as to the weight i can tow.

Quicker in direction changes, manoeuvring and access, tractors a lot slower, might get a little more on, that's it.
