Wondered how long it would be 'til there was bloodshed on this thread! :001_tongue: Looking good so far though, to me anyway.

Well, based on the advice of you lot I've now got a "Frost Mora 164" crook knife, a "Frost Mora 120" knife, a Swiss draw knife and The encyclopedia of Green Woodworking.

All the gear and no idea at the moment! :001_smile: I'll have a read through and post a picture of my first attempt (no matter how embarrassing I'm sure it will be).

I fancy giving this a try, but I'm that cack-handed I reckon if I started with a spoon I could turn it into a branch!

BBB- cut AWAY from yourself, man!

Klaymeb, bring your new toys to Jonesie's show. We can all carve ourselves spoons to stir our Alka Seltzers in the morning!

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
