Igland/Tajfun/Uniforest, Which Double Drum Winch?

Well due to weight and width constraints for the intended application it's purely down to the Tajfun and Igland now?

The Uniforest and Krpan are absolutely worthy of consideration, and both look really well put together bits of kit, with a little more weight in them than the others.

At this point I'm still awaiting the quote on the Igland as I missed the call back, but Kilworth came in pretty keen on a full spec Tajfun unit, with a big plus that I can have either one or two powered upper pulleys added to the unit.

I'm not certain Igland offer this option, but just one powered upper pulley would be nice.

do you have this on a 3pl mounting? or is it mounted to the machine directly? I have one sat in the workshop, but was told by Wilsons they don't make a 3pl butt plate for it so its sat in the heap of parts to get sorted, I thought from my measurements it should drop straight on the butt plate for the 5t double drum? as the head bolts are same spacing :confused1:

Used a tajfun 4.5 and igland 3.2 impressed with both, especially the pull on the little igland for pulling over some big back leaning larch, tajfun was on a small alpine and great for skidding hardwood thinnings out. I would think parts back up and follow up should be a strong consideration. Out of interest did you speak to A and B or just Wilsons
