Our sites are generally new build, so they tend to be virgin soil that was once a field or someone's rear lawn!

They are great but also great at going through gas mains as we found out last week. Straight through warning tape and into medium pressure gas line. A quick thing to remember if you do go into a gas pipe leave the auger in as it helps plug it.

Ive got one for the front loader of my case. Its a big planetary geared one, the same as they use on the telegraph pole lorries. Ive got a 16" flight which powers through most things, I do use it a bit but if there is the slightest chance I can drive it in with the knocker I will!

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
