Trailer wiring buzzer.

Hi,

I've just wired a trailer harness to a jeep grand Cherokee, all works as it should but it came with a buzzer.

This buzzer buzzes when the indicators on the trailer are on, a safety feature that I believe is now compulsory(?).

The problem I have is that this buzzing is infuriatingly annoying!

I can't just fit a switch as the signal to the indicator travels through the buzzer unit.

I'd like to ditch it and just have a small green led but can I just cut the speaker wires and solder in one or is there a solution off the shelf (I've searched but not found) or is there another way around?

Cheers, Daniel.

Yes you can, you just need the right switch

Properly wired this will give you indicator in one position and indicator buzzer in the other

So I fit a "bypass" around the buzzer thing and switch whether to take the loud or silent path?
