It would be interesting to know what percentage of you guys do have a CAT scanner and who don't have one.

We have one, though not Cat4 and Genny. On big commercial sites we ask for very exact underground service plans. On Skanska sites we have to wear flameproof overalls for grinding in case of flashover

Moreover, who is TRAINED to use one? If you think you can use one but havnt been trained, you may be surprised how much you don't know!

Do they pic up plastic pipes? I ground through a plastic gas pipe, it was right through the middle of the stump, the owner said the gas lads had struggled to get it through with the mole!!

Oh dear, looks like I got lucky when I hit one. I have been thinking more and more about a cat scanner but again would need so me training.
