Big beech butt in Wigan!

Blue because I painted it :P

 

Was useful when our subbing for other people with the same saws. Thought I'd at least make the unique marking look alright

 

HI ROB i was thinking that mate well done what size was the butts how did you lift them off site rob thanks does tractor lift them ok thanks jon

Tractor wouldn't lift the stem in 1. About 12-14' long and mostly about 42" thick.

 

Tractor has a bucket grab for the front which helps when moving awkward stuff. A proper hiab would have handled the stem fine but can only work with what's available! Got them into our trailer which took up 80% of the room. Big lumps of wood!

HI ROB that size we cut to 6/7ft my loads will lift ok 12/14ft long is way over 3ton rob thanks well mate jon :thumbup:

Your probably right at 3 ton. Tractor will do about 1.5t on the loader and it was just managing with the log in half. It's got some lovely markings in it. Ideal tabletop size.

HI ROB as you no theres all a way to lift a large butt just lift one end on to trailer then push put the wheel chugs under wheels as you push or the trailer will be off thanks jon :thumbup:
