Sorry for the quality of the sample its a little old now. It's from Penn wood if anybody know it. Apparently the bark looked 'Welingtonia like'.

 

Not seen anything like it before myself but Silver Firs or Hemlocks jump to mind. Can;t find anything close in my books so I thought I'd ask.

 

Any takers?
