I thought I read in another thread that one of the main dealers would have some of these, spliced up, at the APF this year. I could have just made this up or wishful thinking, anyone else hear that?

Yeah I've seen them on there and they seem a reasonable price, just worried I'd get screwed over on import tax or some such. Also be nice to pick some up next week at the show

I ordered some and some other bits and pieces import tax wasn't an issue and received them within 2days!

I bought some from Treestuff. Delivered within a week and no issue with tax. This is the second time I've bought from them and I highly recommend them. My local Husky dealer would do well to emulate their level of service! Oh yea and X Rings are awesome, only problem is I want more.

So an x ring is just a woopie sling with a metal ring is it? Why not just use a 'biner ?

No the ring is the ring and its not metal.

I spliced mine into whoopies because, well I thought they would be most useful like that.

Why not use a biner, well the rings are low friction and have a much better bend radius.

Ok yep does sound better than running rope thru a biner, and simpler than a pulley, what are they made from?

Cant make my mind up, it feels a bit like some sort of ceramic but a bit like plastic in weight, lovely smooth things and light as can be.
