Those lines are on at all times to my knowledge as i cant see someone sitting there looking at a map & saying" here comes a train at blah blah lets flick the switch till it passes" lol

what about railway, the big sucker that runs along the back of the stantions. i am always getting asked to cut back folks gardens that are next to railways. they tell me it is only on when the train is coming. i never go near the things. did it once, i was about 3m away. i was bricking it. never again.

When pricing up you/we should always look out for overhead cables anyway phones lines etc, if you cant id the cable 100% knowing that it is definitely NOT electric then get further assistance.

what about underground stuff when doing stumps? we broke a gas main once with a jcb digging out a stump in paisley. it was a big one aswell. the whole was about 6 inches in diameter and the soil was getting blown back out the hole. the digger driver just wouldnt listen, i am glad i wasnt the boss back then:ohmy::001_smile:
