What country did the 560 first get released or was it released everywhere at the same time? Im sure it was released around sept 11 in the uk so Trolls saw may well pip the win unless anyone has an imported saw.

Unusually we got the stihl 661 and Husqvarna 540 before it was released in America.

Generally, the home country will be the first to get the new model, America is usually later, despite many prototypes being sent for testing there. We had the ms150, the 550 and 560 before them too (150 way before, 2+ months)

Theres rumours over there (America) about the 661 re-release in November so be interesting to see where that turns up first.

With Stihl, it actually some times takes years, not months.

On the flip side, with the 560-series, one batch of a few hundred 562xp saws made around week 27 2011 reached the US before the 560xp appeared in numbers anywhere that I know of on this side of the pond. However, those saws almost immediately were recalled, for reasons that likely had to do with the EPA-related paperwork.....:sneaky2:

Jon, the 562 is identical to the 560 in terms of tech and design, although it's fitted with a higher output oil pump, D009 (large) bar mounts and the usual American add-ons (air filter, big spikes & wrap handle ;) )
