As far as I know, Stihl has been and is using a lot of Zama carbs, and I don't think we will see less of it in the future, rather more of it?

Yes, but the m-tronic carb sales go as follows: Stihl make the carb and sell to husky, husky then fit the electrics and sell it back to Stihl. Oddly the fault is always the carb, not the electrics.

In manufacturing, more handling = more cost, pretty basic stuff and when I was in manufacturing we minimized any sort of extra handling at any stage of manufacture.

Update..... My saw is going back in again!!! Still stalling, floods itself and only starts up again if you hold the throttle open. It's getting a new carb, new ignition system and a new electronic throttle system. Or something like that

My 241CM did exactly the same thing. A new carb has fixed it... for now...
