Glastonbury 2008

There has always been a fence that goes three miles around the site but it was easy to climb or go under or break through, (Somebody smashed a whole section off it down one year with a vehicle) there used to be organized gangs getting people through, the security was hopeless and were often involved with the scams.

It's all changed now, the fence is very, very tall and super smooth and the security actually keep people without tickets, out.

Wow I feel old...

Does anyone contract in to set up lights etc on the trees? ive just been asked to set up lights and lasers in the trees for a festival down here in nz. Could be a free ticket for the first person to ask but then again surely someone already has the contract.

last year was my first glasto, so sadly i missed out on the glory years. the guys i went with are all veterans and said it was piffle, i still enjoyed it though.

rumoured headliners are muse, radiohead or blur. i've seen muse twice and they're something else, i'd love to see radiohead and i reckon blur would put on a good show, any one of those would do me.

Muse fecking rock and Radiohead? I will find a way over the fence if they are playing.

Piffle? Maybe it has lost that dangerous edge but I won't miss the thieves.

Yeah, me too. I suppose technically there was always a fence, but when I first went it was just the one that kept the cows in the rest of the year. I remember being rather surprised when stumbling across fields in the dark I suddenly realised that I was surrounded by tents.

piffle indeed. what more could you ask for than good tunes, plenty of cider and camping in the great outdoors? they are a fussy bunch my friends.

where in the south west are you high scale?

ooo, i feel like i'm flirting.:008:

unbelievable, i think they're still selling tickets now. i think everyone's fed up with the rain so giving it a miss this year.

not too sure about the lineup myself, though unkle and massive attack both playing is worth the ticket fee alone for me.
