I'm thinking of buying a petrol log splitter that can be towed on the road.

I've seen one that looks pretty good but I'm not sure.

22 Ton Venom 2014 Log Splitter

Thoughts, opinions and recommendations welcome. I have all my logs from domestic tree work to split plus a woodland of ash and oak to thin so I'd be using a splitter quite regularly. Using an axe takes far too long and hiring a tractor and PTO driven splitter is proving costly.

Cheers!

The one in your link is not road towable . You need suspension units with wheel bearings in not the plain axle in a bush type that is . Can be converted though but add that cost on .

I have one of them Rock Venom machines.

I had trouble with the engine which was cutting out on me so rang them up and they took the machine back.(I had to take it back though) Anyway came back two weeks later and its just about working ok ho and they brought it back as we live local too them. I would say its a good machine but like another post as said i would be careful about towing??
