These insect pest we usually see every spring in our gardens. Generally not damage the overall health of trees but we see unpleasant tents on the trees. You can spray the tents with Bifenthrin, acephate or with carbaryl. Follow the directions of product label.

We had some Hawk moth caterpillars last year and they were various colours ranging from pale green to dark brown. They were eating Willow herb so not really a pest.
