Like Bob says i don't think its possible, petzl do a helmet with a retractable visor not the vetex but it doesn't accept ear muffs as standard.

Personally i'd get the Kask/stien helmet it'll be my next helmet as i've gone off the vertex since they changed the head harness, the Kask is much nicer.

Why would you want to do that?

If you want to look like you are going to a fancy dress party as a power ranger then get a stein helmet, but if you want to look like you know what you are doing at height then get a petzle helmet and safety glasses!

Ha ha, there is truth in that, although i'd not bother with the plastic visor on the kask helmet, i just like the kask because its so comfy.

Just got me a stein kask, to replace my vertex vent. Ok i got the luvverly goggles, mainly for when i am milling, but the helmet pisses all over the vertex for weight and especially comfort. My only complaint is sweat dripping on the visor.

At least you can shut the air vents off on the petzel when its raining

Has anyone herd rumours of the vertex vent helmet not meeting regulations for use on the ground because of the vent holes?

Something to do with an impact test?:
