Hi,

I need help identifying a tree... I've tried the leaf questionnaires and tried searching, but I'm not getting anywhere, so I thought that someone here could help...

I live in Australia, and it's currently Winter.

I don't thin kit is Frisia due to the lack of thorns.

Think more along the lines of

Fraxinus pennyslyvanica, or

Phellodendran sp., or

Juglans cinerea, or

Rhus sp, or...

I'm working on it

The bark in the last two photo's are throwing me; they don't look Acacia. The leaf scare do resemble Juglans now you mention it so possibly a member of the Juglandaceae family; possibly Juglans mandshurica - Chinese walnut?

C'mon guys... Well I'm willing to stake my reputation on this one... Okay, I know I don't have a reputation but I'm hoping to gain one from this.. Hahaha.. :laugh1:

It's Ailanthus altissima :thumbup1:

A close-up of the buds would confirm.
