Alright mr burdock! That's the way I do it too, makes cutting and chucking one handed super easy!

If your struggling with it Normandy is your caritool at the side or round the back? it's easier if your caritools further to the side!

Its not a karitool being used but husky own. Will fit to a harness where it has a belt config aka willans but will not fit on one where the waist strap is stitched in fully like mine a sequoia.

The clip has a belt loop but is closed, thats why you need s belt type arrangement that is only partly stitched onto the harness.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I thought it looked different, I have a sequoia so not an option, I suppose I could rig it on there somehow? perhaps a little bit of webbing or some cable ties?

I found caritools a pita aswell, so iv changed mine out for some of the large bent gate congs. Iv found they roll flat against the saddle when moving through brush/epi and never get snagged, yet they are easy as hell to clip up one handed with a 540.

Also thanks for the share on that vid, tried that out today and works like a charm :thumbup1:

I used bent gate carabiners for years but you have to be very careful rigging , I think more than once as the gate is open I got it caught lowering , with a very big limb it could be a disaster.

I was not a fan of the petzl because I thought them to brittle and kept breaking them but I would not go back now after using them for last 3 months and doing a lot of big rigging jobs.
