I think its any commercial vehicle unless its car derived 50mph duals 60 motorways. So vitos and small transits are 50 mph on dual carrige way even when solo.

just had a look and it says goods vehicle under 7.5 ton dual carriage way 60mph

but there's not a definite speed for that weight towing just checked highway code

cars small van and over 7.5 ton all listed for towing speed but not under 7.5 tonners

does a transit type vehicle towing then not go over 3.5 ton then be subject to 50mph

i well confused

As long as the kit looks together and not weaving about all over the place with strap ends flapping you are unlikely to get pulled at 60 mph unless very unlucky. Towing in the fast lane does attract loads of interest from the police its like christmas come early as they get to issue a ticket and get some footage for the tele.

Just to add to the confusion.....

My mate got a tug in his van doing 65 on a dual carriageway. He was arguing with bill but (apparently) a van with no rear windows is meant to be 10MPH less than the stated speed limit (not including the 30MPH limits)

Any thoughts / knowledge?? He got a ticket despite his protestations.
