Got a Stihl 450 brush cutter that fires up no problem, runs for about ten minutes then cuts out.

Seems to cut out after ten minutes leaving 3/4 tank of fuel, once refilled runs for another ten minutes and repeats the process.

Any idea what's causing this?

undo the filler cap and don't refill refit cap and see if it starts and runs again

if it cuts out tank vent for sure

also check the fuel filter in the tanks not caught up and is out of the fuel when tank part empty

check it's on the bottom of the tank

I would guess at mesh screen in carb. Easy to clean, remove plate on carb that has single large screw and its underneath. Pick out with sharp screwdriver and blow gun clean. Refit so it seats well. What they usually do is suck fuel and muck against mesh and engine starves. Once it stops so does suction and muck drops off mesh.
