After some help with a college assignment, looked online, searched on here, and i cant find my answer...

Im after a quick step by step guide on how to fell a hollow tree.

Asking as if the tree is straight, not leaning, with no surrounding obstacles/targets and a small fell diameter.

Any help appreciated.

If I am felling a well rotted tree I just to the same normal gob but leave a nice big hinge, dont forget to use a pulling rope since you wont be able to use a felling wedge or bar :001_smile:

Every hollow tree is different.

Dont remove buttresses.

Pick the direction of fell to make best advantage of the remaining sound wood, ie place the hinge in the area with most sound wood.

Use a very shallow sink.
