I think your information is flawed. Both saws weigh he same, 7.3 kg, the difference in displacement is indeed 0.7 cc, but the 660 has 7.1bhp to the 650's 6.5.

For the difference in list prices of £60, which equates to less than 10% of the price, you would be mad to buy the 650 unless someone is offering you a really good deal on it.

Having used both, I think the differences are not that marked in real life, but the 660 does have that little bit more power, so to answer your question, yes.

thanks, i can get a 650 for £650 or a 660 £775 so i thought the 650. but i may got for the 660. but could you get away with a 3 foot on a 650?

 

I would say yes,but i would go for the 660.When they were the 066 and the 064 the 064 had smaller bearings in the bottom end,don't know about the new ones,i have a 066 great saw imo.

i have a 650 and it is on its 3 rd carb and second piston its two years old and doesnt get used alot at all, ive had nothing but trouble with it. id get a 660 definately!

 

Thats interesting, because the 650 i used burnt out a piston 2 years ago, and as far as i know its still in bits in a workshop.
