which strimmer line

I can see how that would give a good, accurate cut, and close to the ground too. But it would drive me nuts having to refill it rather than just bump the head!

 

Interesting concept though- thicker line means less refills anyway, and less head means more power to the thicker line to compensate.

Pair of pliers , grab the short tail pull it out . Insert a new length in the same direction you pulled the old one out . If you have pre cut some lengths it takes but seconds but with that size line and if you keep it in vegetation you may only do it 3 times a day ....

Ay, but it's a psychological thing for me. Knowing that it's half an inch off the perfect length (no sniggering at the back! ) but that I can't just bump it out to run it at 100% efficiency.

thanks probably all made in the same factory anyway

 

The Stihl line is made in their/one of their factories in America. So I don't think it is. Certainly not the x line.
