pretty sure, bracket was very soft, amongst spore layer on the underside there were some enlarged holes which presumably are old gutation points?

 

if i'm in that area again today will try and get some more shots, was bit of a drive by yesterday due to time :thumbup1:

 

Had a look at the fungi directory on here, do you reckon there could be description of the FB's on there? I know you've got oodles of time to be doing that sort of stuff :001_tt2:

Soft would suggest annual fruitbody (resinaceum)

 

Desiccated dryadeus are pretty much like old tough leather

Got a chance to re-visit yesterday so have got some better pics. Don't know how but I had it in my head that the FB was soft, in fact the upper side is hardened, the underside is softer though.

 

I reckon it's dryadeus, what say thee?
