Thinking about buying one of these to replace our cheapy bbq. Anyone used one, feedback?

Yep, got one but never got round to using it for cooking I'm afraid as the gas weber's far too convenient.

 

Only really used as a fire pit at parties and festivals so has seen a few drunken nights in its time, the big disadvantage against a chiminea is the lack if chimney so the smoke normally ends up in your face or your tent but at least there's heat for everyone and not just the front.

 

Needs to be oiled and stored undercover else it'll rust away I fear [

I'm not convinced by has bbqs, seems like I may aswell just use the oven of there isn't charcoal involved!

Always fancied the little charcoal maker you can get for it but it would just be another unused toy in the garage somewhere like the Kelly kettle

Yeah. My heart says coals but the convenience of it rules you can just pop out fire it up for bacon butties at the weekend no faffing about 10 minutes and there deliciously done..

What you've said there already describes Steve, apart from the hair bit.....it's taken him 25 years to grow it as much as he has. 😛
