You can start a thread but can't reply to one ? How odd. Some forums will only accept replies with a certain number of characters so you can't just send a "yes" or "no" post.

I just had the same problem in the employment forum. Why are they disabled? seems a bit odd.

 

I think it was because people were slagging off what employers were offering as wages etc

Not odd at all. People can't help themselves throwing their opinion in regarding a job opportunity, even if they aren't even in the market for it. People post jobs to find an employee, not for discussion. Disabling replies was a positive move for the employment section, and its seen more jobs posted as a result
