Where was the tallest broadleaf then? Bryanston? beats me. Is it a plane of a syccie cant tell very well from the footage. Sounds great though, will have to go see that sometime

Haha... John, you know the 'secret tree' well - it's 50.20m / 165ft Wellingtonia. It's not really secret but the landowners have asked us to keep its location under our hats as there has been a lot of unauthorised climbing in recent years. The tree is actually showing signs now as well which is sad - loads of rope burn on the branches - some of it quite severe near the top... bad news.

 

Am i being thick....a wellintonia isnt a broadleaf....sorry- dont get it:confused1:

Tallest broadleaves are in the grounds of a big school near Blandford, at the end of the vid we climb and measure England's tallest Wellingtonia...
