They really are a "quart in a pint pot", the only quirk is the apparently odd/disembodied steering in reverse, with the drivers seat remaining in line with the loader arm, and the rear doing its own thing, off-side somewhere.

really really disconcerting.

I note Avant have now introduced a conventional artic steer set-up, but with slightly reduced payload, due to the different counterbalance geometry.

The avant steering is great, it means you don't get wedged against walls and fences like skidsteers.

Obviously this has never happened to me:)

we have an old bobcat 312 with a bucket and grab it will pass through a 4 ft gate easily shifts timber ,burns brush ,shifts brush to chipper,stand in the bucket to cut high hedges etc etc very useful old inexpensive machine.

Nice idea as they are cheap.....but want something for narrow access as now doing a lot more arb related work.....and shifting wood without to much cutting would be good,
