Hi, firstly i hope the pics work! I have a poorly MS200T. I noticed a rattle yesterday whilst using it and then it stopped mid cut today. Would start eventually so took the plug out and noticed the top of the piston. Upon stripping it down found the problem. Nothing seems to be missing ie circlips, rings, plug all intact but what has done the damage?? Have noticed a flat spot on the bottom of the piston by conrod. Rings are free and didn't sieze, also noticed the plastic oiler worm drive wont come off, seems to be a lip on the crank spindle?? Thanks for your help :001_smile::001_smile:

Haha, you never forget do you Steve?

To be honest, the damage in mine was more severe, with actual 'pin shaped' depressions.

It did rattle well though.

Nah - like a big ole elephant:lol: Had a similar one to yours I purchased- expired during carving, mostly happens when newbies turn the retaining screw without locating the cover properly:thumbdown:
