Stihl online sales policy rumour control!

Just placed an order with them for a BG86, free delivery to Truro in their own van, look at their website, not a lot more than fr jones, and considerably cheaper than Truro Tractors @ £219 vs. £250!

If I was after aftersales service, I would buy local..... maybe? but it will be coming out to France, and to buy local would be £100 more than fr jones!

Also, from what I read on here, warranty repairs seem to come up short for most people, with poor communication between manufacturer and dealer, and little incentive for a speedy repair.

Good luck to Stihl, but congratulations to those dealers thinking around the problem, and doing delivery/handovers.

HI JACK I GET GOOD SERVICE OFF JUSTIN/CHRIS THANKS JON

Believe it or not my local Jewsons will match any price I can find.

Had a 201 and two 362's off him so far this year.

Ordered a new A/V mount for one of the 361's, got a call to say it was in. Called in to pick it up and the fitter fitted it for me FOC, while I waited, and even made me a coffee while I waited.

Not many dealers I've been to could compete with that

Hi Jon,

I use fr jones and Gustharts and both have delivered fantastic service, in this case they were unable to deliver a stihl product to deepest, darkest Cornwall!

Radmoor and Tucker will be getting all of my stihl orders now, and I recon most people in the south west will be doing the same.
