So what are you going to do if it goes wrong under warranty or you need technical help?

I wondered why I was paying the extra £1400, it's for the warranty. So I'm not being ripped off then!!

Her's another example Belle 4 x 4 Mini Dumper 134Ltr | Mini Dumpers | Screwfix.com

Belle 4x4 mini dumper - Screwfix price £2,504.

German equivalent Helo 4x4 chain driven mini dumper HELO Motor Mini Dumper BLUE POWER Lader Schubkarre motorisiert | eBay

- price £830. and maybe £200 for delivery Total price around £1,100?

Bad comparison there!

That's like saying things are much cheaper here than in Japan because a Landcruiser costs more than a Defender....

The same dumper as the one screwfix sell is this:

Minidumper BMD300 von Belle + gratis Arbeitsjacke in in Berge | eBay

But your example is still £400 cheaper in Germany than Screwfix, why?

Your example, not mine...

But apart from the fact that the exchange rate doesn't quite work like that (you'll pay about £250 less).

Germany's vat equivalent is less I think (19%?)

Screwfix is just not very cheap. Good service and fast delivery, never any issues with warranty claims and normally a direct new-for-old swap.

So you won't be shopping at Aldi or Lidl?

What I find strange is that Belle is based in Buxton yet their kit is cheaper in Europe than the UK?
