Modified Stihl strimmer harness with just shoulder straps takes the weight of big saws. Or if your harness allows you to clip a sling on the back, over shoulders to the bridge it acts as a pair of comfy braces so stops harness hanging round your knees.:001_cool:

It depends on the job entail. I don't mind climbing with a 880 when chop and dropping a big single stem. But it comes down to what's good for the climber

If i'm lone working on a dismantle (i know i shouldn't be alone but....) and need both my top handle saw and a ground saw i simply tie both saws onto my climbing line but attached as far apart from one another as possible. I pull them up and tie off the ground saw tight to the main stem and under a lateral limb to protect it, i proceed with the dismantle and eventually collect the ground saw when it comes time to chog down.

I had a Husky 390xp up the tree yesterday. There was no way i was going to climb up with it! Just get it warmed up on the floor and then sent up!
