Personally I would prefer £150 conifer job for the morning with hardly any outlay, then go to another job in the afternoon reducing/thinning etc for £200. Miles of thorn does not sound great to me.

I think the fencers deserve good money.

As for the fencing. I think we are too much in a nanny state. When I was a kid I knew the railway was dangerous. It should still apply now to the young uns.

It's nice if you run the crew and work direct without this subbing malarkey

 

I like the variety, I don't mind getting my head down and smashing brambles with a brushcutter for hours.

 

I'd rather munch through a load of thorn with a big pair of gauntlets on and decent chipper all day with no drag no chip to cart of site and no raking no gnome dodging and no working for cretins on domestic jobs.
