i use a 10.5 L.S.K from Southern Ropes on a Lockjack , using a thinner rope and a ART coccoon makes work far easier and virtualy effortless .

I brought done of this when I started out and a fellow arborist said you wouldn't catch me using anything like that! How do you find it RRD?

Yes but the Poison Ivy rope you climb on is far to dangerous and illegal you would probably end up in jail or worse still dead climbing on it over here.

We only have mushy Poison Ivy, unless you want to illegally source it from Sherrils through Vermeer UK....

What you talking about illegal? I have just got one of these poison ivy calamine ropes 11.7mm

the rope has tight mantel so works well in the lockjack but has a high friction rate so needs to go through a cambium saver/ pully . I was given it to do a review on it so i have no idea of the cost of it. at the moment i get on great with it easy to use and throw as its light and thin

your ones ce probably , Im guessing the one he's joking about is the non ce american one.

Indeed CE approved is usually indentified by a yellow fleck in the outer and is different from ANSI Yales which I prefer. Probably will get some as my next line as it will probably work well with a rope wrench over the CE version.
