Hi I bought myself a new dmm hitch climber setup last year and I finally got around to playing with it this week but my problem is I have a Yale xtc rope with no spliced eye in the end so dose anybody know how to get around the problem of the friction hitch fouling on the termination knot .has anybody put a sling in to move it out of the way or tried using a long bowline as a termination knot?

A long bowline would be the way to go. Any short know will foul the hitch and be potentially dangerous.

Personally I would either buy a spliced rope(it's so much more convenient) or I'm sure there are a few people on here who wouldn't mind splicing your line for a few beer tokens.
