Annoying?

As you know mate, I don't quote or deal with money. If I did though, I would price the job as if I'd done the tree work too. If they take it, happy days, if not, then no bother.

People think that the tree work is the expensive and timely job. It's not. I can make a hell of a mess in a day, for cheap. The expensive and time consuming part is dealing with what's left.

Gotta agree though, it's galling when people call you in as their "tidy up bitch".

Yes and no...

Yes because most clients have the misplaced theory that IF they cut down the tree then they will save a GREAT DEAL of money which shows they don't trust my opinion.

No because chipping I charge by the hour at the same rate as all tree work.

It's a win-win situation really.

No client ever stacks it well.

A pile 2m in height all over the show is going to take time and make it so too:001_rolleyes:

K'ching!

Haha good luck, you'll have to get past the locks, electric fence, rabid dogs and machine gun toting guards first.

Keith Irvine rents 6" timberwolves out at around 120 a day I think. He's out Crick way.

Don't blame him. If I'd spent thousands of my hard earned on a machine I wouldn't feed someone else's rubbish through it. Besides, if they were hoping to save money on tree work by sacrificing quality, then the same should stand for the clear up. 5l petrol and a box of matches would be much cheaper!
