Use 2 boards, work between the 2, walk them as you go, flip them and jump them back and have the back 1 on the joints.

The stripes thing is for looks only and looks nice. I would ditch the old kitchen knife and get a good half moon edger and get it razor sharp.

what's with the different colour, were some rolled up for a few days ?

For cutting we use quick blade change stanley knifes and buy blades in bulk packs.

Not sure about the different colours, the knife a fishing knife and cut quite well. A stanly would be a good way too cut it mind.

I use a steak knife for turf, never any problems.

Looks good but hoped you used fork to tap the turfs tight as they may shrink, water well
