Big Oak To Mill

Hi Guys some advise on milling 2 big oak buts should i try to quater it as machinery to turn it will be avaible or just through and through as nice wide oak boards would be preferd and one of the buts has some quite bad ring shake should I just cut what I can out of it avoiding the shake being new to milling not sure and obviously the customer will want as much as they can get out of it probably even some of my blood .Thanks in advance for your advise

Hi Bob I am in a small village called okeford fitzpaine as are the oak buts but my workshop is in shaftesbury if you or any of the guys on hear are ever near do pop in and sat hi as for dimensions about 1+1/2 round and 5/6mtrs long cant get pics until next week
