Where are you getting your prices from?? Firewood sold in rings or unseasoned is arb waste and as such is worth £20 a tonne end of!! If your selling it to the public then season and process it and draw what the market commands for it! Its not a hard concept but its everything inbetween that makes the job confusing.

 

If it was good wood (straight, limited knots, not oversized) in 3m legths, that could be sold at roadside for around £40 a tonne and that's were I got that number from.

 

And yes if it is large and ugly wood then I would agree with you, no more than £20 a tonne.

Ah fairenough, doesnt sound like its worth alot then, ill keep it....erm....somewhere lol

Hello again, i still have the wood, its sat in the exact same place at which i left it in the winter.

 

I have no where to store it, and if i dont do something with it it will just rot.

 

I reckon theres 40/50 cube at a push of oak/ash/thorn and holly.

 

Im having a week away from usual line of work to get it all together in a pile and get it split.

 

How much is it worth split with a view to selling it in a bulk load, and would any of you fellas on here be interested?
