  1. Hello, im in preston lancs, just had a bloke out to look at it right after posting!
  2. Where would you look for these grants? im in the building trade if it makes any difference?
  3. Are these grants specific to the firewood/tree business?
  4. Hi all, im probably one of the guys that you long term firewood suppliers get annoyed with! Im a groundworker and plant man by trade and i came into possession of some wood from a site clearance job last year. I did post on here a while back about this but i have around 40cube of split hardwood logs that for whatever reason i am struggling to sell. Around 30 cube is in crates/covered and fit to burn and the last 10 cube (sadly as id run out of crates) is on the deck with a sheet over it and is probably soaked/on its way to going mouldy and would need someone with a barn to dry it out. Frankly im sick of looking at it and want rid so i can get some money back from the time i spent splitting it in the summer, plus this isnt my trade, i dig holes lol. Would anyone on here be interested in buying the lot or can recommend a company that would buy it?

    Got wood

Hello again, i still have the wood, its sat in the exact same place at which i left it in the winter. I have no where to store it, and if i dont do something with it it will just rot. I reckon theres 40/50 cube at a push of oak/ash/thorn and holly. Im having a week away from usual line of work to get it all together in a pile and get it split. How much is it worth split with a view to selling it in a bulk load, and would any of you fellas on here be interested?

    Got wood

Im in preston, jeez £10.00 a cube is not alot! Some of the rounds are 4ft plus across there will be a good few tonne of those, Like i said id split it if i had too. Im thinking i could sell it to the big country inn place for less than full retail, bit of a discount for a bulk load and a discount for unseasoned? Or am i talking rubbish?

    Got wood

Hi all, well i ballsed that up my username is supposed to be Denzel lol Anyway a little intro, im a groundwork and planthire contractor up in NW. I have recently done a large site clearance project and as a result have ended up with a load of hardwood. As i have not had much to do this week i have been cutting it all into rounds, it is yet to be split, i think (very approx) that i have around 30 cube. Im just wondering how much is it worth? I am after selling it all as i have no use for that much timber, and i have nowhere to season it. I have interested parties...a local restaurant/country inn and a firewood supplier. I know seasoned hardwood around here goes for around 100 quid a cube, im thinking unseasoned is not worth as much (even though the same graft had gone into it!) what should i realistically be expecting for this lot, i will split it if i have to get the best price. Thanks for reading, regards Daniel.
