just dug out old pond , has anyone got any frog spawn ( Bourne / Stamford area ) ..that I could relocate ..

Erm, cough, cough!

What happened to the frogspawn that presumably was in the old pond.

A diger sheaugh bucket will/could/should easily have scooped it out, into a temp pit if necessary.

before relocating to the new pond.

just a thought.

My pond hasn't got any in it this year.

I think the ducks and water hens are eating it or the frogs.

usually has plenty and there are frogs about so don't know why.

I would associate a healthy frog, and therefore frogspawn, population with reasonable areas of uncut/never cut grass and coarse vegititation around or near the pond.

Does the water surface perhaps also need shade from direct sunlight (preferentially)

To provide a permenantly damp environment for the mature frogs to live in.

The pond up the moss, and it is quite small and very weedy.

Is positively thick with frogspawn.
